A jet boat is controlled by its driver; a rafting trip involves a guide and a raft crew on a separate river experience. Booking a whitewater jet boat does not include rafting. This page explains the official Huka Falls combination and how to plan the two activities separately if that suits your dates better. Hukafalls Jet’s H2-Oh White Water Adventure combines its 30-minute ride with Tongariro River Rafting. The operator describes about two hours of rafting and approximately seven hours for the combined day, including the wider schedule. It also permits a two-day arrangement. Check current availability directly with the package provider rather than adding the two on-water durations and assuming that is the total trip.
The package requires self-driving between activities. Taupō and the rafting check-in near Tūrangi are separate stops. The provider publishes different summer and winter check-in arrangements. Use your confirmed instructions, allow time to change and eat, and avoid relying on the fastest possible map estimate when connecting two paid departures.
Being eligible for Huka Falls Jet does not establish eligibility for rafting. The package publishes child conditions, with additional conditions for younger children.
